About this site...
My name is Glen Mark Martin, a great-great-great
grandson of
John
Miller Martin. I am rather new to genealogical research, so the bulk of
the information coming to this site is due to the efforts of others:
specifically, Don Martin Thomas, an amateur genealogist out of Salt Lake
City, Utah (and who conveniently lives near the LDS Family History
Library), and my cousin Carolyn Sue, who has done our family a great
service by documenting the recollections of my great uncle Will
"Uncle Bill" Massie
Martin, her father. She used to have a website about Uncle Bill's father
(and my great grandfather), Marion Wesley Martin, who was among the first
members of our family to move to Texas from Arkansas in the late 19th
century. However, Carolyn was unable to maintain her website due to the
hosting company wishing to charge for it, so I have agreed to host her
materials here.

Whats New:
- Added index page for specific family lines.
- Revamped site architecture to make use of server-side includes.
- Added new photos and captions from my Glenn
line.
- Added evidence that Matthew "The Rebel" Rhea was
NOT the Matthew Campbell of
Orgaig.
- Added transcripts of McCune family histories
from the book Windmilling, a collection of Swisher County, TX family
histories.
- New online viewer for family tree info added. I'll be transitioning my links to
this new viewer. Registration and login required for viewing info on living individuals. GEDCOM database now
includes info on parents of Greenberry Floyd ISOM.
- Sadly, my mother, Nina Ruth (Glenn) Martin, has passed away at the
age of 78 on Nov. 29, 2004 after a lengthy illness. A kind, caring,
gentle soul has left this world...
- Images of the Isom and Moore Family Bibles now available.
- Family tree posted. Based primarily upon Don Martin Thomas' gedcom, with added info on the Glenns,
Paces and McCunes. More info coming...
