Martin. - State of Arkans as, County of Johnson, ss: I, W.T. Martn, being first duly sworn depose and say that I am 5 6 years of age and that I am the son and the sole heir at law of Edmund T. Martin, deceased , who was a soldier in the Civil war in Company "I", Second Arkansas Infantry. I further s tate that I know of my own personal knowledge that the said Edmund T. Maritn was the same per son as Edmund T. Martin who made homestead entry for the North half 1/2 of the North East Qua rter 1/4 of Section 19, Township 6 North Range 31 West, containing 80 acres in Sebastian Coun ty, Arkansas, in 1868, for the reason that I lived upon said claim for about 2 years. My res idence and post office address is Lamar, Arkansas. W.T. Martin. Subscribed and sworn to bef ore me this 18th day of March, 1907. My com expires Jan 22 - 1910. W.B. Jackson Notary Pub lic. Marti n making homestead many years ago I know that he made homestead in Sebastian County Ark ove r 30 years ago, west of Greenwood about 5 miles I don't remember Township section or Rang e I know that he was a Federal soldier, and that I think he belonged to Co., I. I hereby certify that I am Judge of the Probate Court having jurisdiction over Se bastian County, Arkansas, and that it has been shown to my satisfaction by affidavits that Ed mon T. Martin died intestate in said county on or about January, 1873; that he was survived b y a widow and one son, that his widow died in the fall of 1876, leaving as his sole survivin g heir at law his son, W.T. Martin, of Lamar, Arkansas; that there has never been any adminis tration upon the estate of said Edmon T. Martin, deceased, in Sebastian County, Arkansas.
