Know all men by those present that we Edmund T. Martin as principal and John G. Connelle
y and John F. Hill as securities are held and firmly bond unto the state of Arkansas in th
e just and final sum of eight hundred dollars for the payment where of bind ourselves, our he
irs, executors and administrators, firmly, by these presents witness our hands and seals, a
t Clarksville this 7th day of October, A.D. 1850.
The condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bonded Edmund T. Martin a
s administrator of all and singular the goods and chattels, rights and credits, of James M
. Martin deceased, shall make, or cause to be made, a true and perfect inventory of all and s
ingular the goods and chattels rights and credits of the deceased which have or may come to t
he hands, possession, or knowledge of him the said Edmund T. Martin or into the hands or po
ssession of any other person for him; and the same, so made, shall return and exhibit in th
e office of the clerk of the court of probate for the county of Johnson, within sixty days fr
om the date of the above obligation; and all and singular the goods and chattels, rights an
d credits, of the deceased, which shall come to the hands, possession, or knowledge, of the s
aid Edmund T. Martin, he shall will and truly administer according to law direct; and furthe
r make, or cause to be made due and proper settlements there of, from time to time, accordin
g to law, or the lawful order, sentence, or decree, of any court having competent jurisdictio
n; and shall moreover, well and truly do and preform all other matters and things touching su
ch administration, that are, or may be prescribed by law, or enjoined on such administrator b
y the lawful order, sentence, or decree, of any court having competent jurisdiction, then th
e above obligation to be void and of no effect; otherwise to remain in full force and virtue

To all persons to whom these presents shall come greeting; Know ye, that whereas James M. M
artin of the County of Johnson died intestate, as is said, on or about the seventh day of Jul
y A.D. 1850, having at the time of his death, personal property in this state which may be lo
st, destroyed, or diminished in value, if speedy cure be not taken of the same: to the end, t
herefore, be collected disposed preserved and disposed of according to law we do hereby appoi
nt Edmund T. Martin of the County of Johnson Administrator of all and singular the goods an
d chattels, rights and credits, which were of the said James M. Martin at the time of his de
ath, with full honer and authority to secure and disperse of the said property, according t
o law, and collect all moneys due said deceased, and in general to do and preform all other a
cts and things which are, or hereafter may be required of him by law.
In testimony whereof, I Augustus M. Ward, clerk of the Circuit Court ex office clerk of th
e court of Probate, in and for the County of Johnson aforesaid, have hereunto set my hand, an

n Admn. of the estate of James M. Martin deceased. Petition to sell land Warrants. Comes th
e said Edmund T. and files his petition asking the court for leave to sell two certain lan
d warrants the property of said estate, upon consideration when if it is the opinion of the c
ourt that the prayer of said petition should be granted. It is therefor ordered by the cour
t that the said Edmund T. Martin as the administrator of James M. Martin proceed to sell sai
d two land Warrants at the Court-House door in the City of Clarksville on the 17th day of Mar
ch next, the purchase to give bond with approved security and to make report thereof at the n
ext term of this court.

9 for 160 acres of land Hereby authorizing said attorney to do and perform all things in my n
ame which may be _____ for the purpose aforesaid as fully & completely as though I was presen
t.
