!BIO: 4339 Malissa Isabelle Bean7 (Fam. 4335, pg. 1075) b. 12-28-1857, Mt. Zion, Ark., d. 1-2 5--1943, Harmony, Ark., m 10-5-1876, Mt. Zion, Ark., John James King, b. 3-24-1855, Clear Spr ings, Ark., d. 5-14-1938, Harmony, Ark., both bur., Harmony Cem., the son of John James and M argaretta (Payne) King. They were Presbyterians. They had 9 children 1st 7 b. at Clear Spri ngs and the last 2 at Harmony, Ark. The original Thomas King was b. in S.C. in 1798 and move d to Springville, Alabama in 1820. He and his wife Nancy had 9 children 2 girls and 7 boys . One of them was John James King. He with one of his brothers moved west to Johnson Co., A rk., in 1844 with two ox carts, often having to cut the trees down with an ax to widen the In dian trails to get the carts through. They settled at Clear Springs, north of Clarksville, n ear Spodia Creek. John James King and his wife are both bur., in King Cem., at Clear Spring s, north of Clarksville. They had 8 children, Hannah, Ellen, Thomas, John, Reuben, Arch, Rob ert and Joe. He served in the Confederate Army in the Civil war and returned home and was el ected as the "Brothers of Freedom" candidate over the Democrat candidate for Treasurer. !OBITURAY: T.A. Johnson Dies At Lone Pine, T.A. Johnson aged 72 years, died at his home at Lo ne Pine last Saturday, November 22. He had suffered a paralytic stroke two years ago, from w hich he never fully recovered. Mr. Johnson was well known throughout Johnson County, havin g lived his entire life with the exception of two years, at the place where he died. He ha d been a Justice of the Peace in the Lone Pine community for the past forty - two years, an d was a member to the Cumberland Presbyterian Church since young manhood, and a for long year s a member of the Bell Grove Masonic Lodge. Mr. Johnson made plans for his funeral which wer e all carried out by his children. Funeral services was held Sunday afternoon at 3:00 o'cloc k at Lone Pine conducted by Rev. Jim Walker, assisted by Rev. Hugh Yandall. Burial was mad e beside his wife in the Lone Pine Cemetery, under the auspices of the Masonic Lodge. Mr. Jo hnson is survived by seven sons; George, Richard, Taylor, and Arthur of Lone Pine; Mon of Lit tle Rock, and Gus and Harlan of this city; by three daughters, Mrs. Tilda Ogilvie of Kansas ; and Mrs. Annie Byers, and Mrs. Devie King of Harmony.

!OBITUARY: Mrs. H. Matilda "Tilda" Ogilvie, 82, of 6426 Washington, died Monday at the Jewis h Geriatric and Convalescent Center. She was born in Johnson County, Arkansas, and had live d in this area since 1925. Mrs. Ogilvie was a Presbyterian. She leaves four sons, Norman J . Ogilvie, Kansas City; Wayne J. Ogilvie, Holton, Kansas; Donald L. Ogilvie, Indepencence, an d Leon P. Ogilvie of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Jean Collier, Kansas City; a brother , Richard Johnson, and a sister, Mrs. Eva King, both of Clarksville, Arkansas; 11 grandchildr en and 12 great-grandchildren.
