In the fall of 1961, G eorge and Mary Yandell and their daughter, Mollie, came to Plainview to be close to their chi ldren. Orval, Ross, Billie and Pete lived there at the time and Cleo moved there the next ye ar, Sarah lived at Amarillo. George Washington Yandell was born May 5, 1880 Blackfork Scot t County, Arkansas. His parents were Andrew Ross and Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Cooper Yandell . Mary Elvira Martin was born August 19, 1894 at Vernon, Wilbarger County, Texas. Her paren ts were Marion Wesley and Sarah Caroline Berry Martin early Floyd County, Texas pioneers. Ge orge and Mary were married October 11, 1911 at Floydada, Floyd County, Texas. During their m arried life they lived in Floyd, Motley and Hale County, in Texas and lived for a while in Ne w Mexico. They lived for over twenty five years at Roaring Springs in Motley County. They h ad eight children. John Wesley died at birth in 1912 and is buried at Floydada. Ross was bo rn August 29, 1913 at Floydada. He married Louise Billington. They had three girls; Betty , Sharon and Elaine. Ross passed away September 7, 1975 and is buried at Plainview. Orval w as born November 5, 1915 at Floydada. He married Faye Hollingsworth. Their four children ar e Linda, Sandra, Bob and Debbie. Orval and Faye live at Belton, Texas. Cleo was born June 3 0, 1918 at Roaring Springs. She married Eugene Watson and their children are Mary, Jeanne, L arry and Monty. Cleo and Eugene now live at Roaring Springs. Sarah was born August 5, 192 2 at Floydada, Texas. She married Buford Sain and they live at Amarillo, Texas. They have o ne daudhter, Barbara. Mollie was born September 15, 1926 at Chandler Flats, Motley Co., an d passed away May 5, 1974 and is buried at Floydada. Billie was born June 23, 1928 at Chandl er Flats, Motley County, Texas. She married Vester Roller and their children are Lela, Viol a and Harold. Billie and Vester lived at Plainview. Pete was born August 22, 1933 at Roarin g Springs. She married Nolan Ozborn and they live at Plainview. Their Children are Cindy an d Dee Dee. George passed away March 27, 1964 and Mary on August 13, 1971. They are buried a t Floydada.
