!NOTE: The following is research.

!RESEARCH: - Hello Don, I am a descendant of Phillp Marion and Elizabeth Bell Whisenhunt. On e thing I noticed on your file at roots web was that you listed a John M. Whisenhunt as a chi ld of Benjamin Whisenhunt and Sarah Martin. I had not heard of any descendants from this lin e. Is this your line or do you know anyone from this line? In your file it also showed tha t Benjamin was married to Caroline Burkes. There were two Benjamin M. Whisenhunt born in Car roll Co., GA in Sept. 1837, one of the sons of Phillip Maron and Elizabeth Bell Whisenhunt . He was married to Caroline Burkes and died in the Civil war in April of 1864 in Richmond V A., reported in Raymond Whisnants book and also Eph Whisenhunt book. If my understanding o f Eph Whisenhunt's book is correct, Eph was a grandson of this Benjamin. The other Benjami n was a son of John A. and Flora Bell Whisenhunt and this is the line you are following. Sec ond I read under James Wylie Whisenhunt under comments about James being a child of Nancy Cat herine Cricket Whisenhunt. I am currently looking for his parents also along with a couple o f other descendants of James Wylie. As you said in your notes about him I have seen James Wy lie in Nancy's home in 1860 but not in 1870. According to the Scott Co., history book that J ames Wylie died when he was 22 which would have been in 1880, the year this James Wylie showe d up in Montgomery Co., but have found some history books are not accurate. If you are inter ested in this line I can send you some of the notes that have been shared about James Wylie a nd possibly be able to add a few clues to who and where this James Wylie is. Possibly, wit h all of us working on this line we could come up with enough to identify his parents. Looki ng forward to hearing from you. Sincerely sheila Whisenhunt Branson - Source - Sheila (Whisen hunt) Branson - e-mail - sbarn1020@cs.com
