Lynch born in Marion County in the State of Illinois, age Twenty four years, a nd by occupation a Soldier Do Hereby Acknowledge to have volunteered this First day of Januar y 1864, to serve as a Soldier in the Army of the United States of America, for the period o f Three Years, unless sooner discharged by proper authority: Do also agree to accept such bou nty, pay, rations, and clothing, as are, or may be, established by law for volunteers. And I , William R. Lynch do solemnly swear, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the Unit ed States of America, and that I will serve them honestly and faithfully against all their en emies or opposers whomsoever; and that I will observe and obey the orders of the President o f the United States, and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to the Rule s and Articles of War.

Alex Edie} plaintiff and it appearing to the Court from the return of the Sheriff of Mario n County Illinois that the said Debt was duly served with summons herein, and not appearing , was three times solemnly called, and came not but made default, which default is entered, a nd this, action being, on a promissory note and the damages unknown to the Court; It is order ed that the Clerk represents the principal of said Note to be Fifteen Dollars and the interes t thereon as the sum of Two 87/100 Dollars; Whereupon it is considered by the Court that sai d Plaintiff do recover of, and from said Debt the sum of Seventeen & 87/100 Dollars, Damages , together with his costs, and charges in this behalf expended, and may have execution theref or & C.

Jackson Clerk of this Court that Joseph Lynch late of Marion C ounty Illinois Deceased died in said County on or about the 17th day, of January 1866, Intest ate; and said Clerk being assured, by proof, of said death, intestacy; and the value of sai d estate and William Lynch having, applied to said Clerk that he be appointed Administrator , which said Clerk, allowed and book Bond in the sum of $900.00 with Samuel P. Wilson an d William C. Garner, as security. And the Court having examined said papers, on file, and b eing fully advised it is ordered:
That the appointment of said William Lynch be, approved.

Lynch who was enrolled on the 25th day of July 1861 , in Co[mpany] B 40th Ill[inois] Inf[antry] in the war of the rebellion, and served at leas t ninety days, and was honorably discharged at Springfield Ill[inois] on the 1st day of Augus t 1865, That he is unable to earn a support by reason of Chronic Diarrhea Piles and heart di sease.
That said disabilities are not due to his vicious habits, and are to the best of his knowledg e and belief permanent. That he has applied for pension under application No. 642677. That h e is a pensioner under Certificate No._____________________ That he makes this declaration f or the purpose of being placed on the pension rolls of the United States under the provision s of the Act of June 27, 1890.

Lynch, on the 24 day o f July, 1861, as a Private, in Co[mpany] B 40th Illinois Regiment in the service of the Unite d States, in the Civil war, and was Honorably Discharged at Scottsboro Alabama, on the 31 da y of December, 1863 by reason of re-enlistment That he was not employed in the military or n aval service of the United States otherwise than as stated above. That his personal descript ion at enlistment was as follows: Height, 6 feet 1 inches; complexion, fair; color of eyes, b lue; color of hair, dark; that his occupation was Cooper; that he was born August 29, 1841, a t Marion County, Ill[inois]
That his several places of residence since leaving the service have been as follows: Illinoi s 11 years Colorado 2 years Texas 16 years New Mexico 1 year.
That he is a pensioner. That he has heretofore applied for pension Certificate No. 513017.
That he makes this declaration for the purpose of being placed on the pension roll of the Uni ted States under the provisions of the act of February 6, 1907.

County Judge o f Parker County, Texas: Now comes your petitioner, A.E. Lynch, and respectfully represent s to the court that she is the surviving wife of W.R. Lynch, deceased; that the said W.R . Lynch resided in Parker County, Texas, and at his residence in Parker County, on the 28th d ay of May A.D. 1915, departed this life; that he left an estate of real and personal propert y of the probable value of $1500.00.; Petitioner resides in Weatherford, Parker County, Texas , and that she is not disqualified by law from accepting letters testamentary. She represent s that the said W.R. Lynch on or about the 17th. day of December A.D. 1914 made and execute d a written will; a substantial copy of which is hereto attached and referred to as apart o f this application. That soon after the execution of the said will the testator took the sam e to his wife, A.E. Lynch, and gave it to her and instructed her to keep it safely; that th e said A.E. Lynch deposited the said will with her other papers; that a few weeks after sh e was going through her papers, destroying the useless ones and must have drop the said wil l in the pile of waste paper; that this fact was not known to either the testator or the appl icant until after his death: and for that reason the same can not be produced in court. Tha t the contents of the said will, as far as known, bequeathed and devised all the real, person al and mixed property belonging to the said W.R. Lynch to the petitioner A.E. Lynch, that s aid will was date about the 17th. day of December, A.D. 1914, and that said A.E. Lynch was t herein appointed executrix and the will directed that no bond be required of her and that n o other proceedings be had in the probate court except the probation of the will, and the fil ing of an inventory, appraisement and list of claims. The subscribing witnesses to said wil l were R.E. Knox and Louis Reynolds both of whom were over 14 years of age and reside i n Parker County, Texas. That the names of the children of W.R. Lynch and A.E. Lynch wh o are the only heirs at law are as follows: W.W. Lynch who resides at Greenwood, Ark: Dell a Darnell, wife of Henry Darnell, who resides at Weatherford, Texas; Bessie Clark, wife o f J.D. Clark who resides at Ft. Worth, Texas; and J.M. Lynch who resides at Weatherford, T exas. That all of the above said children are of legal age.
Wherefore you petitioner prays the court that citation be issued to all persons interested a s required by law and to the heirs of W.R. Lynch, described, herein named, that said will b e admitted to probate, that letters testamentary be issued to petitioner, and that such othe r and further orders be made as the court may seem proper. !OBITUARY: W.R. Lynch died Friday 28 May 1915, Weatherford, Parker Co., TX, burial was 28 Ma y 1915 at City Cemetery, Masonic Fraternity officiating at gravesite, services by Rev. Mr. Fi tzgerald. He died at age 74, leaving a widow and 2 sons and 2 daughters. Mrs. Lizzie Clark o f Ft Worth, Mrs Henry Darrell of Weatherford, and Walter Lynch of AR were with him at death .
