The Genealogical Research of Glen Mark Martin
Here is what I have discovered about my mother's family, the Glenn line. Note that any information that is not sourced should be considered speculative, and should be used only as a guide. Some dates and names are from trees compiled by other individuals, and if sources are not noted, the information provided has not been verified.
William "Billy" Franklin Glenn (b. 10 OCT 1873, Bloomfield, Benton County, Arkansas, d. 5 JAN 1972, Plainview, Hale County, Texas)1,2 married Emma Louis Moore (b. 21 JUL 1878, d. 26 JAN 1972) on 12 AUG 1900 in Saginaw, Texas. Their children included:
I have been unable to locate Billy Glenn on the 1900 U.S. Federal Census (the year he married Emma Moore), but I do find them in the 1910 U.S. Federal Census for Justice Precinct 5, Tarrant County, Texas:

Note here several grotesque errors regarding parent's birth places. (Such inconsistancies are rampant as well when researching the Moore family. Even the Moore family Bible is inconsistant in this regard.) Several Murphy families appear on this census page adjacent to the Glenn family, including a Cora (Lampkin) Murphy, who is Emma (Moore) Glenn's niece, as noted in the Moore family Bible.
By the 1920 Census, we find that the family has moved to Floyd County, Texas, with Aden having moved out and married:
1920 U.S. Federal Census, Justice Precinct 1, Floyd County, Texas, p. 10BName Relation Sex Color Age Place of Birth Father's Mother's Glenn W.F. head M W 47 Arkansas Arkansas Arkansas Emma L. wife F W 38 Arkansas Tennessee Tennessee Una C. daughter F W 17 Texas Arkansas Arkansas Gertrude daughter F W 15 Texas Arkansas Arkansas Garland son M W 12 Texas Arkansas Arkansas George son M W 10 Texas Arkansas Arkansas |
Further down on the same page are Hollingsworth and Mickey families, significant in researching the Moore and McCune lines, respectively.
By 1930, we find this family in nearby Castro County, Texas, near Dimmitt:
1930 U.S. Federal Census, Precinct 4, Castro County, Texas, p. 3B

should read "Bloomfield, Ark." as this would be more consistent with what is known about where this
family lived.

the error in his middle initial.
